Blood Red Roses (by Shadow. S)
I see three blood red roses lying on a riverbed
One, two, three by a waterfall
When they should be near grass instead.
And in the autumn and the winter their petals start to dimmer
But this glum state isn't for all
For in the spring and the summer, their petals will start to glimmer
One by one they start to welt until the very last
For this one shines so bright,
It disappears into the murky grass
Now it waits so lonely until the others come
Sleepy now dormant
Lying in the bright warm sun...
